Voice rooms are the centre of Waho. Join a room, take a seat and talk — no camera, no performance.
Waho describes itself, in the developer's own words, as “a free voice group chat and gaming community application”. Voice rooms are where that description lands.
A room is a shared audio space with a visible seat layout. People take a seat to speak; everyone else listens. The Play description says up to 15 people can join a real-time voice chat, where you can “play games, listen to music, and freely express yourself”, and that rooms tend to form around a topic — food, sport, current events, or whatever the host has set up that day.
The listing screenshot shows the structure clearly: a room title and ID at the top, a grid of seats with avatars and heart counts, a running banner for arrivals and gifts, and decoration around the edges of the room.

Step by step
How to get started
- Install Waho from Google Play and set up your profile.
- Grant microphone permission when the app asks. Without it you can listen but nobody will hear you.
- Open the room list and pick a room. Browsing as a listener first is normal and costs nothing.
- Take a free seat when you want to speak. Rooms usually show clearly which seats are open.
- Use headphones if you can — they stop the room’s audio feeding back into your microphone, which is the most common cause of echo complaints.
- To host, create your own room, set a title that says what it’s for, and invite people in.
Getting the audio right
Most voice chat problems are permission or hardware problems rather than app faults. Work through these in order:
- Microphone permission — Settings → Apps → Waho → Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
- Room mute — check you aren’t muted in the room itself, and that you hold a seat if speaking requires one.
- Another app holding the mic — end calls and close other voice apps; Android gives the microphone to one app at a time.
- Bluetooth routing — if audio is going to a paired earbud you forgot about, disconnect it and try again.
- Volume and Do Not Disturb — check media volume, not just ringer volume.
- Network — voice needs a steady connection more than a fast one. Patchy Wi-Fi produces dropouts that sound like app faults.
