Gifts
Virtual gifts on Waho
Animated gifts, cars, avatar frames and decorations — the visible economy running through streams and rooms.
Gifts are how attention gets expressed on Waho. Send one during a live stream or a voice room and it plays as an animation across everyone's screen, with a banner naming who sent what to whom.
The developer's description covers the range: “customize various exquisite gifts, luxurious cars, beautiful avatar frames, and decorations that showcase your hobbies and uniqueness”. So it's two things at once — items you send to other people, and items you wear on your own profile.
The listing screenshot for this feature is the clearest example. A large animated gift fills most of the room, with a send control and a multiplier visible at the side, while the room's seat grid carries on underneath.

How to get started
- Open a live stream, a voice room or a private chat.
- Use the gift control to open the gift selection.
- Choose an item and a quantity — the screenshot shows a multiplier control for sending several at once.
- Confirm the purchase. Google Play handles the payment.
- Set a budget before you start, not after. It’s far easier than deciding in the moment.
Keeping spending under control
Gifting mechanics are designed to be easy and quick. That cuts both ways, so a few settings are worth putting in place:
- Require authentication for purchases — Play Store → profile → Settings → Authentication. Set it to “For all purchases on this device”.
- Parental controls — on a device a child uses, set up Google Play parental controls and a purchase PIN.
- Remove stored payment methods — if you don’t need one-tap payment, don’t leave a card attached.
- Check your Play purchase history — Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
- Refunds — go through Google Play's refund process first; it handles Play purchases.
