What is Waho?
One app for talking, watching and playing together
Waho brings live streaming, real-time voice chat and casual games into a single Android app. You can drop into a room to talk, start a broadcast, or open a game board without leaving the conversation.
The app is published on Google Play by Waho team under the Social category. Its listing describes a community built around voice rooms — the developer's words are “a free voice group chat and gaming community application”.
- Live streaming — broadcast to viewers, or watch and react with messages and gifts.
- Voice chat — group audio rooms that hold up to 15 people, per the developer.
- Private conversations — one-to-one chat with text, images and voice notes, plus private rooms.
- Casual games — Ludo and UMO, played from inside a room.
- Virtual gifts — animated gifts, cars, avatar frames and decorations.

- Moments — a feed of posts from friends and people you follow.
- Achievement medals — profile medals and privileges.

Go live. Connect. Be part of the moment.
Start a broadcast from your phone and talk to whoever joins, or open someone else's stream and take part from the audience.
Streams show who is watching and carry a running message feed. Viewers can send virtual gifts, which play as animations across the video, and the listing screenshots show gift banners and ranking notices appearing over the broadcast.
- Broadcast live video from your phone.
- Watch other streams and join the conversation.
- See the viewer list and top supporters on screen.
- Send and receive animated virtual gifts during a stream.
Voice chat
Real-time voice chat
Voice rooms are the centre of Waho. You join a room, take a seat and talk — no camera needed.
The developer's description says up to 15 people can join a real-time voice chat to “play games, listen to music, and freely express yourself”, with rooms often organised around a topic such as food, sport or current events. Private rooms are also available for smaller, closed conversations.
- Group rooms for up to 15 people at once.
- A seat grid showing who is speaking and who is listening.
- Music and games running alongside the conversation.
- Private rooms when you want a smaller group.
Games
Play while you connect
Waho's games run inside the room you're already in, so nobody has to leave the conversation to start a match.
The Play listing names two by name — Ludo and UMO — and describes them as “interesting online casual games… while chatting”. The listing's screenshots show the Ludo board with player avatars arranged around the room.

Why explore Waho
What you actually get out of it
Six things the app is built to do, based on what the developer documents and what the listing screenshots show.
Real-time interaction
Voice, messages, reactions and gifts all land while they still matter — the app is built around live sessions rather than posts.
Live experiences
Broadcasting and watching sit next to each other, so you can move between hosting and being part of an audience.
Voice communities
Rooms hold up to 15 people and tend to form around a shared interest — a topic, a game or a regular host.
Social gaming
Ludo and UMO run in the room itself, which makes games something you do with the conversation rather than instead of it.
Private conversations
One-to-one chat carries text, images and voice notes, and private rooms keep smaller groups out of the open lobby.
Virtual social features
Gifts, avatar frames, decorations and achievement medals give rooms a visible sense of status and occasion.
Safety & privacy
What to know before you join a room
Waho is an open social app with live voice and video between strangers. A few things are worth understanding first.
- Personal information — live rooms are public by default. Treat your full name, school, workplace, address and phone number as things you do not say on air.
- Data collection — the developer's Play data safety section states no data is shared with third parties, and that the app may collect personal info, app info and performance, device or other ids. It says data is encrypted in transit and that you can request deletion.
- In-app purchases — gifts and decorations cost real money. Set up Google Play purchase authentication, especially on a shared or family device.
- Private conversations — a private chat is private from other users, not from the platform. The same care applies.
- Reporting and blocking — use the in-app reporting and blocking controls where a room or a person is a problem, and Google Play's "Flag as inappropriate" for the listing itself.

Waho questions, answered
Answers drawn from the official Google Play listing and Google's own support documentation. Where something isn't published, we say so.
What is Waho?
Waho is a free Android social app built around live streaming, group voice chat rooms and casual games. Its Google Play listing is titled “Waho - Live Stream, Voice Chat” and it sits in the Social category. Inside the app you can broadcast live, join or host a voice room, play Ludo and UMO with the people in that room, post to a Moments feed, send one-to-one messages and send virtual gifts.
How do I download Waho?
Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone, search for Waho, open the listing published by Waho team, then tap Install. You can also open the listing directly from the download buttons on this site. Our download page walks through the whole process with screenshots.
Is Waho available on Android?
Yes. Waho is distributed on Google Play for Android under the package name com.waho.live. Whether it installs on your particular device depends on the requirements shown on the Play listing when you open it — Play greys out the Install button if your phone isn't compatible. See the Waho for Android page for details.
How does Waho live streaming work?
A host starts a broadcast and viewers join the stream from the app. Viewers can see who else is watching, send messages and send virtual gifts, which appear as animations over the stream. The developer describes live streaming as a way to “showcase your talent, share your life, or interact with fans.” Read more on the live streaming page.
Does Waho have voice chat?
Yes. Waho is built around real-time group voice rooms. According to the developer's Play description, up to 15 people can join a voice chat at once to talk, listen to music and play games together. The app also offers private rooms for smaller conversations. See the voice chat page.
What games are available on Waho?
The Play listing names Ludo and UMO as casual games you can play while chatting, and describes them as part of the room experience rather than separate apps. The listing's own screenshots show the Ludo board. See the games page for what is documented and what isn't.
Does Waho have private chat?
Yes. The developer describes one-to-one private chat where you can send text, images and voice messages. There are also private voice rooms for conversations that aren't open to everyone. See the private chat page.
Is Waho free?
Waho is free to download and install from Google Play. The listing is marked Free and also carries an In-app purchases label, so some items inside the app — virtual gifts, decorations and similar — cost money. You are never charged to install it.
Does Waho have in-app purchases?
Yes. Google Play flags the listing with “In-app purchases”. The developer's description mentions customisable gifts, luxury cars, avatar frames and decorations, which are the kind of items usually bought with in-app currency. Check the current price range on the Play listing before buying, and see our safety guide for how to control spending.
What age is Waho rated for?
Google Play rates Waho Mature 17+. The listing's content descriptors are “Users Interact, Shares Location, In-App Purchases”. That rating reflects open interaction between users, location sharing and paid content — it is not a recommendation. Parents can read our safety and privacy guide.
How do I update Waho?
Open Google Play, tap your profile icon, choose Manage apps & device, then Updates available, and update Waho if it's listed. The Play listing was last updated on September 9, 2026. Our update page covers auto-updates and what to do when an update won't install.
What should I do if Waho isn't working?
Start with the basics: check your internet connection, force-close and reopen the app, restart the phone, then clear the app's cache and make sure Waho is up to date on Google Play. If a voice room has no sound, check that Waho has microphone permission. Our Waho not working guide covers each symptom in order.
